Newsgroup System File Generator v 1.03
Takes your list of newsgroups and presents a
NSFGdate.SYS file. This file is suitable to
send your feed site if they are using a file
similar to a sys file by C-News or B-News.
Future versions will even do 'exceptions'.

Place all the files in the NSFG_103.ZIP file into a directory. Something like
C:\NSFG would do the trick. All files in this archive must be kept in the
same directory. To use this program, just change to the directory where you
placed the files and type "NSFG /{UUCPNAME}", where UUCPNAME is your site name.
Your UUCP Name can only be up to 7 characters in length. If this limit should
be stretched to 8, just let me know and I can whip up a new version.
This program uses a file called NSFG.LST. It is a simple ASCII list of all
the newsgroup you carry, in sorted order. I will send an example in this
archive to get you started on what it looks like. What I do is post my notes
into a text file for later review. Then I edit the notes to come up with a
left justified list of additions. I copy those additions to the NSFG.LST and
then do a DOS SORT command to sort it proper and keep the left justify. The
list is now ready to generate a new file. Also in this archive is a file
called NSFGRACE.LST. This is a formatted output of what the program will
produce. This is my current setup.
I have made the output the way I did on purpose. What this allows is for
you to communicate through your host site via E-mail. You just send the
SYS file to him in a text message and he can post it as your new system file!
This format fits perfectly for a PCBoard Message Base. <g>

Since this is the first public release of this software, it might not work
for all systems. It works well for me here. <G> If your feed site requires
a little bit of tweaking of the file, you can either edit those changes or
let me know if I can make options for different types of SYS files.
Some formalities: You are hereby granted a limited license to use this
program. You may freely distribute it to your friends
and local bbs systems. If your NSFG.KEY is old, you can
get a new one anytime from TRE!'s BBS. If you should
continue to use it past 30 days, you are encouraged to
register this program.
Please keep the archive intact. This archive is NSFG_103.ZIP. If you do
upload this program to another bbs, please keep the same filename so others
may find it by it's distributed name. The Newsgroup System File Generator
distribution file follows the format NSFG_xxx.ZIP where xxx represents the
version. If you should give this program to a friend to try, please give them
the complete archive and not just some of the files.
Your support of the Shareware Distribution is very much appreciated!
